My client has an opening for an Assistant Controller. Position reports to Financial Controller of the Offshore Division.

Job responsibilities will include:

Coordination of journal entries in the accounting system,
Interface with accounting and project management on issues,
Review of monthly financial statements and variance analysis,
Preparation and distribution of management and ad hoc reports,
Participation in forecast / budget preparation,
Participation in contract review and tender pricing,
Account reconciliations.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years progressive work experience in an accounting / finance department of an international construction company, and a BS in Accounting. The candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced skills in Excel. The candidate must be able to interact with staff from multiple departments, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be attentive to detail, orderly, flexible, and be able to handle multiple priorities and to set / meet deadlines. Previous experience with Oracle financial applications is a plus.
