Resume of Candidate 324640.  Nurse Practitioner with 4 years as an NP and 12 years of experience as a staff RN/charge nurse, during the 12 years the candidate has worked four years on a geriatric and palliative care unit and seven years on an oncology and med/surg unit. This candidate has worked in Indigent care, state correctional, and acute care hospitals and facilities. This candidate is looking for a position in the Texas area with an oncology facility.

Seeing patients in clinic for the homeless, Provide primary care to acutely ill patients.  Undertaken a goal of cutting down on inappropriate Emergency room use of homeless people.

  • Assess and triage inmates for transport to primary care at a Prison clinic three hours away.
  • Developed a plan to curb the Epidemic of boils and presented education to inmates and staff on hepatitis and heat tolerance. 
  • Reduced the number of inmates needing to make the 3 hour trip for primary care by about half, despite inability to do advanced practice.
  • Reduced the number of special trips to the clinic to essentially none benefiting inmates and the state of California coffers.
