Senior Pipeline Engineer (North Houston)


Resume of Candidate 332425.  Pipeline Engineer with 10 plus years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Electrical, and Chemical industry . This candidate is looking for a full time or contract position in the North Houston area. He has been working in many roles Technician, Inspector, Quality, Project Specialist, pipeline controller and currently a project pipeline engineering role. This candidate has a great understanding of all rules and regulations of the position and industry.
 
Experience
  • Determining pipeline class locations in high consequence area (HCA) and potential impact radius (PIR)/potential impact area (PIA) along pipeline. 
  • Identifing pipeline routes/reroutes, railroad, river and road crossings. 
  • Preparing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) resource reports for FERC filing.  Reviewing contractor bid submittals, scope of work plans, alignment sheets and design drawings for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Developing porject spread sheets utilizing this information in the preparation for project material take-offs and procurement for 353.2 miles of 42” inch natrual gas pipeline.
Gas Pipeline Controller  2/2004 – 1/2006
  • Monitored and controlled natural gas pipeline systems, pumps, pressures, volumes, temperature flows and gas schedule nominations. 
  • Utilizing the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to monitor and maintain operating parameters and pipeline integrity within safety, regulatory, contractual and commercial requirements and to trouble-shoot upset conditions. 
  • Accurately followed established procedures and processes as it related to pipeline operation, control and pipeline integrity. 
  • Interpreted real time data and responds to operational events and emergencies. 
  • Planned, coordinated and directed the field interaction required to maintaining scheduled operations.

  • Provided contract administration oversight of contractors and subcontractors to ensure that all environmental compliance, design specifications and standard operating procedures in accordance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Texas Natural Resource Commission (TNRCC) federal, state and local agencies were followed.
